Hey there! Welcome to Orthodox Homesteading—I'm Riley Arnold, your go-to companion on this adventure where traditional living, independence, and farming come together.

I've been farming for seven years. My mentors are organic family farm owners that have passed down their knowledge of growing almost every annual fruit and vegetable eaten in America. From growing blueberries to tending mixed orchards, my days are filled with all sorts of green goodness. Not to mention the love I have for our feathered and furry companions friends—cattle, dairy cows, goats, chickens, sheep, hogs, and even a few guinea hens.

I've also dabbled in the culinary world. Culinary school was a blast, and I ran my own successful baking business. Now, I enjoy fermenting, preserving, drying, smoking, and canning my harvests. Beware - I am a stinky cheese maker and devourer!

Teaching is where my heart truly lies. I've spent three years instructing folks, even hosting a farmer training course in beautiful Northwest Arkansas. I’ve taught adults, farm business owners, and children.

Farming isn't just a career for me—it's a way of life. I can’t wait to share ALL the joy with you!
